Project Overview
Mama Management is a photography management company, showcasing and marketing talented photographers, film makers, and other artists in the Boston area. They needed a website built to show off their artists on the Internet.
The Challenge
Mama wanted a 'cool and modern looking site' but they also didn't want the site design to overshadow the photography and other media they were trying to showcase. The client also wanted the ability to add new artists and their portfolios to the site on their own, and the portfolio pages needed to show large, high resolution images as well.
The Solution
We came up with a minimalistic site design, with great navigation, that highlighted the photos and video on the site rather than the site's own graphics. We also built a Flash gallery to show the artists' portfolios, and integrated it with a custom CMS. The client can now login and add a new artist and their portfolio in just a few minutes, and the site has a clean, modern look and feel, that emphasizes the high resolution images contained within.
