Student City

Project Overview
StudentCity.com, an online Spring Break trip booking company needed an 'Invite Your Friends' process developed into their existing website, which came to be known as 'Tripvite'.
The Challenge
The project consisted of developing not only the Tripvite feature, which needed to work seamlessly with the company’s existing CRM and Reservation system, but also, web pages and emails using data entered by the customer needed to be automatically generated and published. In other words, the entire system needed to be automatic so that Student City staff needn’t spend time on these tasks.
In addition, the client needed a custom Content Management System (CMS) to allow their sales staff and on site reps to build landing pages for specific trip offers and invite their customer contacts by filling out a few simple forms.
The Solution
We built a complete Tripvite system that interfaced with the client’s existing databases and booking system, and designed all supporting pages and email templates. We also added the capability for a customer to import their address book from Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, AOL, or from an Excel file to make inviting contacts quick and easy. We also made sure that all invited contacts made it into the client’s CRM so their sales staff could follow up and sell more trips.
For the Content Management System, we built a custom system with a few simple forms, interfacing with the databases Student City already had. The sales staff didn’t need to deal with creating a lot of content to get their trip page published. Instead they merely needed to select from a list of content already located in the database, and in a few minutes, they had their trip page created and published to the site.
